Just a progress on how i did the battle gloves, from start to color finish.sorry its kinda big...had to make the words big enough to read.

Abaddon is sometimes an angel who guards the prison of the devil, or sometimes the devil himself. other times, Abaddon is the prison itself.

Very cool.
I see more of a theme of forces with these, rather than a purely elemental one. Allow me to illustrate what I mean, with a crapload of words.
Claw of Flames - The force of survival. The claws represent the base instincts humans possess, with the claws from their kills adorning their armor and thus displaying their knack for survival against harsh odds. The fire is also a part of this, being that fire is essential to survival as well.
Phoenix of Light - The force of good. One would have a hard time arguing that light is mood-elevating, not only because it enhances surrounding vision, but because it seems to drive evil away, at least in the mind. The blue and green colors reinforce this; water and sky and leaf colors are natural, and nature is most often associated with good.
Morning Jewel - The force of life. Different from that of survival in the way that it represents the essence of life itself. Most living things are composed primarily of water, so this is also an obvious choice. The female image reinforces this, as most cultures in history have regarded the female form to represent procreation, therefore life.
Susanou - The force of redemption. This one struck me as a sort of reformed evil, almost as if the wearer was once evil, but is currently struggling to shed that skin. Whether or not that struggle will be fruitful remains to be seen, but the effort is still there. Fire again, but this time a blue fire, the color again referring to nature. The silver represents an effort to maintain purity, while the black represents the unchangable past.
Abaddon - The force of evil. Black and red color scheme, teeth and jaws, glowing red eyes, and spikes. Darkness indeed.
Hephaisto - The force of righteous fury. As the name suggests, perhaps this would be the gauntlet of an ancient Greek god, such as Hephaestus. 
In all, quite well-done. I've enjoyed your Anima weapon artwork very much so far, and it looks like the quality will stay as high as it has been.

i dont know how you do it man...but you seem to have gotten a grip of my thought process, my inner, subconscious thoughts while creating these.
every description is so dead-on, except for the one on Susanou, but even then, you are only missing it by a nano-inch. superb.

You're more than welcome, by the way. I've been enjoying your art for a good while, but this was perhaps the first one I felt I really grasped from beginning to end.
Heh, I have been known to get inside fellow artists' heads every now and again. Don't let it scare you; my chosen medium is strictly confined to the written word.
As for what I missed on Susanou, I'd like to know just how far off I was, if you don't mind letting me in on it. I've always been fascinated with how the artistic machine works, especially considering backstories and such.
And yes, I do rock. Perhaps not THAT much, but I do indeed rock.

I think that was very kind of you to let people into your head and how you go about creating. Makes sense on how go about your design work. A creative burst then you come back to it in a more balannced and practical manner. Though looking at the original ideas I think Susanou could have stayed a heavier darker glove, maybe had the color scheme been reversed. Like all the silver parts were made black and the inner layer could have been white/silver to keep the great contrasts. Awesome designs.
