You're very good at generating the sense of awe and austerity required of godly/mythical subject matter. 
I also like how you've chosen to keep the figure a little non-symmetrical, and avoided the temptation to keep it perfect in all aspects; you've lent it a sort of naturality, which sort of makes things easy on the eye. The curl to the wings also has a kind of fractal quality to it, just because of the curl, and I totally enjoy your interpretation of the flappy appendages anyway. XD The patternwork is utterly gorgeous. I love the size of the whole piece too.
