However, I do not draw them directly from their descriptions. I am using their myth as inspiration to design a modern character. Very often you might not see any link at all
, my mind travels far from the original idea sometimes.

Damn... It's the bomb man!!! The feathers and the pockets (I've never seen pockets put in overlapping cloth or skirt (I don't know wich it is sry) before) are great and the pattern is even better. >.<

Really good detail on the armor although it looks metal-ish the properties of thoes two loops coming down makes it look like leather which were you thinking it would be?

You and your attention to detail is maddening!
I mean that in two ways.
1) Just looking at the little details in his jacket, feathers, proportion, and the coloring's beyond inspiring to me, and I'm sure others as well.
2) I'm going nuts trying to get the detailed look that you have in my pictures. But that's what practice is all about, right?
