Sorry for the lack of updates for the past month or so, its been pretty crazy in my life.this will be the first of the work i did for Lux Aeternia, a project i worked on back in 2006.
This piece was done in pencil and some digital effect were used. This is also one of my favorite type of images, characters with trees. It's been really long since i drew something like this. deadlines had been limiting so many of my desire to make elaborate backgrounds. heres hoping i will be able to do more like this later on this year.

Oh, wow, this is really fantastic. <3 Personally I like this kind of drawing with great composition and lots of people and tiny details more than ones with only just one really fancy character in them in a bland background. Of course they're all still fantastic, but still, that's my preference. XD
I'm really curious about how you did the light spots and light rays, especially since I'm such a novice at shading. Did you sketch everything first and then erase out the lighter parts? Unless that was done on the computer...hahaha.
