well, as sad as i am over the earthquake and the lost of lives, i know i should carry on in life. and pardon me for bringing it up again, i just cant help it. my prayers to those who lost and survived with sorrow.and yeah. some pole axes and i will try a short description this time.
the first one is pretty standard, just a poles axe, probably the most effective one as that matter.
the second one, i named it the cursed dragon. its supposed to have poison element on it. not very happy with the bladed part however, may be a redesign later on.
the middle one is called thorned affection. much more for magical staff usage. strengthens charm spells.
4th one, the wing of death. typical death element weapon. i liked this one when i was designing it.
5th one, narssarcistic undine. (sp?)
i had too much fun with this, i made the handle thick because i wanted it to be proportionate...thats why it looks more like a one handed axe...i might redraw this one as well. strengthens water spells. obviously...
if anyone of you wants to make any of these in 3D, i would love to see it when youre done.

my favorite one has to be the death one, then the standard one, i dunno the death one just seems so remarkably balanced... you're so wonderfully talented at conceptual design! I hope you are able to create beautiful things like this all your life!

I so just had the mental image of a classic, evil "black knight" type of guy marching into battle with it, haha. All the OTHER bad guys around him have evil spiky black weapons, and... I should not be on the internet before my brain is awake. It's just not safe. 0_o;

Someone totally has to draw an Army of Darkness pouring down from the hills, armed to the teeth... and just one guy is marching along with that poleaxe. Best double-take mental image ever. XD

It might just be me, but they seem a bit short for pole-axes; especially the last one, but you already mentioned that.
Actually my favorite is probablly the last one (lol). A pearly water theme going on there.

the biggest reason for them being short is because of the paper i use to draw them in, but since they are just designs, i dont really care too much for the actual length, i can easily make them longer when i use them in other drawings. but yeah, they are too short for pole arms.
