Digging the design a simple weapon but an ornate shield. Are those I guess bubbles, transparent or translucent? It almost makes my think of tine orbs of glass with something growing in them.

yeah, opted for simpler things on weapon to focus on the shield, made from a unique creature in the Rosgladia world. those jelly orbs can catch weapons and not let go. XD
