an entry to some digital art challenge with theme "paradox" I just have some spare time to enter the contest, so I decide to send the entry in the end of the deadline.its was a paradox that was happend in the ancient China times.
In the story, a man was trying to sell a spear and a shield. When asked how good his spear was, he said that his spear could pierce any shield. Then, when asked how good his shield was, he said that it could defend from all spear attacks. Then one person asked him what would happen if he were to take his spear to strike his shield; the seller could not answer. This led to the idiom of "zìxīang máodùn" (自相矛盾), or "self-contradictory".

Maybe you should try your hand at drawing the result of hitting the shield with the spear. I think your style would lend itself nicely to a universe-shattering paradox.

Beautiful piece! I really like the vivid colouring and lighting; this sort of illustration would look great in a childrens' storybook.
