I made a lot of new DA friends lately and since I can't visit them all to thank them I thought a little drawing with that topic would be appropriate. I always wanted to do something like this and I think it was the right moment.
It's the classic boy-and-his-dog story. But it's true! My best friend when I was a little boy was my dog (a cat joined later ). If you want to experience real friendship, then try to achieve the friendship of an animal, especially a dog. All you need to do is to love him - and he'll love you back.

Reference for the boy was a photo by Ed Curtis (what a surprise ) [link] showing a little Comanche boy. The photo was shot in 1927, the boy may be an old man now if he's still alive.
For the dog/wolf I was allowed to use one of the marvellous photos by called Locked Up . In case you don't know this guy so far just visit his gallery. Most of his works are animal photos, but `guitarjohnny is not somebody who just points his camera towards animals - he captures their souls. I can promise you that you will find animal photos in his gallery you never dreamt of.
I want to thank him for letting me use the wolf photo.

I changed both the expressions of the boy and the wolf. I didn't want them to look too sad.
