This was the first sketch in my new sketchbook! can attest to that. XD Since, you know - she saw me scribbling it in class. HIIIII, HON!
Anyway - I always thought it would be cool to freight-hop. Just sneak on board a train as it's leaving the yard and going wherever it takes you. And I think this is probably a good chunk of how Cym's doing her traveling, so I drewed it. 8D
And I know the landscape's shit, shutup, you're not the boss of me!

That's really cool. I like her pose and the inside of the train looks really cool. You paid attention to detail nicely with the scratched in words and the graffitti. I love the shading to, and how you did her hair. Very nice, plus plaid is really hard to do, but here it looks amazing and so real. You really went the extra mile! I like the background. It kinda reminds me of a kids crayon drawing. And I'm not saying that to be mean I mean like, it reminds me of the kind of innocence kids have and the unexpected adventure. Like it doesn't look ominious or anything, just really calm and serene and it's a nice contrast to the darker interior of the train. Ummm...I hope that made sense.

mhm I think it is not bad work, but it could be improved. Eventhough your artists comment didn't sound like you want critique, you did sign up on my forum thread, so I am gonna give it.
First off, you should add some shading, not only the light/shadow in its basic part, but shading that comes from textures, form etc. I think this could improve your image a lot.
I like that one can still the pencil sketch under the paint, it gives it an own style, I think that is what is missing on the background, and makes it somehow not fit the rest.
I like the scene you chose to portray it has something nostalgic to it.

XD I had to take off my own shoe to get the angle right on the second one. So that's why I didn't draw it then. Didn't want people to see my dingy socks.

Also, credit goes to Phil the architect, whose notes on the change orders I couriered this morning inspired my grafiti style. That man has the coolest least legible handwriting EVER EVER.
