November 2017.Don’t ask me why…
I took a few macro-photos of my parents’ eyes one day and wanted to do something with that, but I couldn’t choose the picture I would use as a model, so a voice in my head said : ‘What if I drew all the photos together ? Could be fun !’ But it’s not very fun actually, the result is just waaay too weird… One can hardly understand what it was supposed to be (My mother asked : ‘Sunflowers ?’ Haha. No no... just 3 eyes in 1 eye). Ugh !!! And I have worn my pens out for that ! Dammit.
Never mind, I have spent a few hours of my lifetime in this drawing and I think the right part of it is OK, so I share it anyway. But damn ! next time I think I have a cool idea, first I’ll think a bit longer
So I guess I’ll have to draw this again one day and not to be a fool, just one pupil per eye and it will be alright. Yay !

Ha ha! I thought it was sunflowers too, I think if you did the ring around each one it would have looked like three pupils. But I really like it the way it is, the colors are really well blended and give a smooth and believable look. Also I like the reflections in the eyes as well. This is an original piece and it's pretty cool to look at ^^ Well done

Maintenant que tu le dis c'est vrai que dans l'idée ça fait un peu penser à Ænima, mais pourtant c'était plutôt une idée qui m'est passé comme ça par la tête après avoir fait quelques photos, et même si j'adore énormément Tool et l'œuvre d'Alex Grey, je ne crois pas du tout avoir été influencée pour ce dessin ^^
Par contre j'avais terminé quelque temps avant ça un dessin de leur album 10,000 days, et là oui pour le coup la ressemblance était clairement voulue

Effectivement, j'ai vu le dessin dont tu parles et c'est vraiment pas mal. Le travail sur les couleurs et les perspectives rend très bien. Après, Tool à clairement une forte inspiration des tableaux de M C Escher, et la continuité est présente dans ton dessin. Continue comme ça !

Ooh cool, merci d'avoir cité Escher ! Le nom me disait rien, j'ai fait une p'tite recherche et c'est donc l'artiste derrière ces célèbres gravures complètement barges que je cherchais depuis, genre vraiment super longtemps !!

Eye like it (huehue)
Au premier coup d'oeil j'ai pensé que c'était un sharingan un peu bizarre, ou un truc impliquant un oeil à trois pupille, au deuxième coup d'oeil en regardant mieux je me suis dit que c'était juste des tournesols, ensuite j'ai lu la description.

Hahaha ! J'avoue avoir pas mal déliré au moment de me lancer dans ce dessin et le rendu est vraiment zarb, pourtant j'avais rien d'illicite dans le sang...
Mais contente que tu l'aimes malgré tout héhé
