The thing es un chico bastante relajado y sadico, esta persona te llevaria a el mal camino(te pondria rock n' roll y asi :0)
Este controlo a Rachel en primeras para que ella teniendo la confianza de sus "AMIGOS" pudiera tener su maximo de ellos.
En la frase "The wires are the best of they"(lo saque del The neighboorhoud) se refiere a lo maximo del comportamiento de cada chico en el establecimiento, haciendo que todo se salga de control.
Thing al igual que Rachel es un vil manipulador, pudiendo causar pesadillas y traumas en los guardias, personas e incluso niños, haciendo que estos lleguen al suicidio en casos maximos.

Though, if you got the phrase out of the song "Wires-The Neighborhood", isn't the actual lyric "The wires got the best of him(or in this case, them)"?
Anyway, the reference is amazing! I really like his design and I may or may not be wanting to draw him in the future, but i'm slow and a huge procrastinator so don't count on it-
