The big guy at the bottom looks nice with the armor, even though I'm not a fan of orcs myself. I love the fan's angle and those swords are sweet (the first one in two angles is awesome). The house is cute.

I'm very intimidated by the CA group. I have an account there but I don't feel I chalk up to even be a newbie there yet.

i am as well, but i just joined recently and i tried out the weekly challenges they do (creature of the week, environment of the week, etc) and they have helped me to a ridiculous extent! but i'm going for conceptual design & illustration when the time comes, it's just my personal way of practicing.

I often post on the CA.org boards/read up on alot of things, you can learn alot from that place, I honestly reckon you'd do well. Some people may shun the more 'furry' content you have, but they can mind their own business for not being as adventurous with their own work, or you could just choose not to show certain pieces, its entirely upto you. You have a strong sense of design, your anatomy is solid and your line quality is quite good. Three of many qualities that'll go a long way and help with others.
As a friendly crit I would have to say work more on your perspectives and avoid having the vanishing point, be it 1 point, 2 point, 3 point, 5 point or whatever else point (theres 3 others I believe), on your canvas, move it far away so it doesn't distort the view, as our eyes' lense' are convex, things will appear rounder as they get close, having vanishing points too close together or on the canvas will cause an acute distortion.
As for design, characters and creatures can be posed in a variety of ways, this of which you seem pretty confident with, but for all details to be shown for functioning and modelling purposes, the character, creature or object needs to be drafted in an orthographic view.
This way, it makes it MUCH easier for those that want to understand your designs to see the details and its important when it comes to 3d modelling or sculpting, as it provides a base which the 3d modeller/sculpter can work on easily. Those swords are a great start for an ortho representation.
Some 'limbs' are usually sectioned off in their own orthographic view so the viewer can see whats on the underside of the 'limb' to see the normally obscured parts of the character/creature/object.
Im just throwing this out there as food for thought if you ever want to get into design as a career, maybe something to practice on, but otherwise its not too important unless you're seeking employment for that sortof work.
You probably already know how CA.org forums work so I wont hagger on, but if you have any questions feel free to drop a pm or ask here, otherwise, good luck!

Thanks for the lengthy crit. A lot of it I am aware I need to work on and am in the process of doing so. I'm actually starting my second year of art school this fall (first year of my bachelor of character design) so all of the fine motor skills aren't something I am ignoring. I am going to school to properly learn it and all that jazz.
CA doesn't intimidate me for the fact I sometimes draw anthropomorphic content. That doesn't even cross my mind. The superior skill of artists that hang around there does, however. I personally know my artistic faults and simply do not feel I am even in league to be part of that community for critique on my progress yet. Consider it my own sort of personal motivation to improve, which is what I am doing.

I spose that can be pretty intimidating if you compare your efforts to theirs, just try not to do it too much like myself .. But it sounds like you have a solid goal to aim for, and I hope you have fun doing it. Drawing and Painting is no good if you dont have fun or atleast feel good about it.

I see that horse up there.
I'm sure resistance only makes certain things difficult.

Some of the creature designs are quite cool. Like the one in the middle, and the one at the bottom left.

Wow, these are some great designs. You'd make a fantastic game artist. I really like the three blades in the middle there. And the Tengu fan! Very nice idea. I also like the Fuu helmet design.
