Well here is my entry for 's contest.Ampharos here is readying a charge beam to shove down it's opponent's throat
I love Ampharos. He's so cute yet he can kick some butt! Not to mention take a beating!
This has got to be the best piece I've made in a while. I guess it's cause I actually really spent time on it, working out details such as lightning.

My HeartGold team contains a level 94+ Ampharos nicknamed Nexus.
Current moveset
Magnet Rise: If you let this proc, Nexus doesn't run any weaknesses other than his low speed for five turns.
Power Gem: Non-Electric attack with no immunities. I really should invest in Signal Beam as it's regularly effective against Ground, but I'm saving up for an Ice Punch for my Weavile first.
Discharge: I like to double duel, and when I do, I summon Nexus and a Golem first. Discharge does zip to Golem, and once Magnet Rise procs, Earthquake does zip to Nexus, allowing them to floor 99% of the game without taking recoil damage. I just have to watch out for Grass and Water, because they can WTFrape my Golem for quad damage, and if/when that happens, I have to switch to Pidgeot and/or Feraligatr. Pidgeot can avoid Discharge every other turn via Fly, but Feraligatr can't dodge it at all. He's in my double duel setup because he can use Earthquake as a backup for Golem.
Thunder: A crapload of power with the side effect being its low accuracy.

it's actually hard to imagine Apharos' thunderpunch, isn't it, with those short little arms.

I have also discovered that he can take at least two Earthquakes so I can usually beat them too

Ampharos has always been a good Pokemon to have, but I rarely keep one on my team, only if up against a good trainer I'll add one but I lean towards the first 150 Pokemon. In my opinion, they're the best. lol

And I do agree, but that's why the first look so cool, because we can relate to our world in some way. The second release are cool, too. Mostly because of the three legendary dogs
