Yay! Someone else who thinks 'lings are adorable in natural form! :-D
You're gonna have to give us some more back-story on Jun. I already like her and all I've seen is pictures. :-D

She was born in a family of changelings, who masqueraded themselves as a couple of nobles. She learned from a young age, how to hide their nature and play a role of a young lady. But when she was 14 years, deception was discovered and she was forced to flee. However, her skills were so impressive that she again find her place at the court of an influential gentleman, who put her talents to their advantage. She took the place of "Head of Espionage", taking not only the position, but also the appearance of former chief spy (she was already terminally ill). At one point, her master sent her to observe for a couple of "heroes", who staged a "show" in the port city Blackwall with the "dragonslaying", and other things. And this is where everything actually started...

*sing* And only ocean between us~~~~
Honestly,Β we would be glad too. In our small, provincial town very few people into roleplaying and table games.Β

LOL! It's similar here, though a surprisingly large amount of gamers have come out of the woodwork recently. I think a lot of folks are finally realizing that role-playing games got a bad rap in the 80's that was totally undeserved.Β

True enough for us too! Many people start to LARP in big cities and elder ones remembered our first russian kick-ass DND clone, - "Enchanted Land". That awesome storyline...

Is there an American translation of that? I'd love to check it out! :-D My husband just converted our current characters to Pathfinder from 3.5 rules so I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes, but he loves to check out D&D clones and homebrews for ideas to spice up his own campaigns.Β
Here in Texas, the pulsing heart of the LARP community in the state is in our capitol, Austin. But you can find lots of LARP groups in Dallas and Houston too, and many more scattered all throughout the state. A lot of small town are discovering that it's a lot nicer for teens to be sitting around throwing d20's than getting drunk and driving in the middle of the night, and so there are many little game stores popping up around us. Thank goodness for that!Β

Gosh, It sounds so lovely that I'm already jealous! In Sochi we have soooo many places to LARP, but yet so few people to roleplay. Mountains, relict forests and cute little villages all over the road. But we doesn't have a game store here. We all hoping to see one in future because then touristic season comes, there's a lot of people here on coast. Anyway, at the moment, we forced to buy stuff in our region capitol, -Krasnodar. And there's long road to Krasnodar from here...
I afraid there's no translation, but we sometimes ask our DM to make one. It has some slavic mythology and very different point of view at classic races. For example: elves have beards and living at border lands full of dangers.

How funny that you're jealous of me, when I could say the same! The area around you sounds like an absolute DREAM! Not just for LARPing but just to walk through with a sketch book and some Prismacolor pencils! :-D We have many beautiful places here in Texas but nothing like the tall old-growth forests you are surrounded by. You have to drive for hours to East Texas to find anything even close to the kind of primeval forestry such as you live in. Now if you ever wanted to LARP on vast hectares of ranch land, you'd have plenty here to choose from! Β
Someday I want to fly overseas and tour through those beautiful old growth forests, the kind that haven't seen an axe or saw for millennia and are covered in thick carpets of moss and ferns... Then I would finish up on the U.S. West Coast with its tall redwoods! Most of the trees here are scraggly desert scrub, and most trees get killed off by the harsh drought and heat before they get very large. What large trees we do have are usually clustered near lakes and rivers, like cypress or pecan trees. Which, admittedly, would make for a fun place to LARP if you wanted to go for a swim in the Summer! :-D
Sounds like a great roleplaying game! Now I wish I knew more languages than English and a little Spanish LOL!

Of course when it comes to nature, hiking or something else, it's awesome and beautiful, likeΒ thaw lakes ofΒ Achishkho for example. ButΒ I'm jealous for game stores and newcomers that you have. ;D
But never say never to something else or new...

To be honest, while we might have an abundance of game stores and books to choose from, we are terrible about taking these things for granted! We don't appreciate what we have because we have such a gross abundance of it here. It's a long road to Austin (an hour's drive) but the roads are smooth and if you time it right, the traffic is a snap to deal with!Β
Hopefully you will find more LARPers soon! There's nothing like a fun group to game with!
