Description
The Domus project is the construction in scale 1:50 of an imaginary medieval palace. It's made of clay, stones, slate, wood and other construction materials in the style of rich genoese buildings from the middle of XIV century.-

brilliantly detailed work - even though it's of a Genoese house it does look alot like the Bawn houses we have here in Ireland, Irish nobles/chieftains would build them in town with a watchtower to keep an eye on the neighbors. Β There's one here in town called Staffords Tower - the arched area on the bottom floor is used as a bar and the rest is now used to store malt.

btw... I do a bit of woodturning in my free time. Do you need some wooden turned parts? If it is within my abilities I would gladly contribute a bit to this project by turning something for it

Thank you for your offer, Sebastian! At this moment I can't see where I may need wooden turned parts... but actually the size is so small that I could use a simple toothpick. I'll keep you in mind, though!

Wonderful. How heavy is it going to be when you are finished? I bet it is going to weigh a cent

At present it weighs about 40 Kilograms (88 Pounds). The upper levels will be lighter, but there is the high stone tower, so... maybe 70 Kilos (154-155 Pounds). Too heavy for the schoolbag!

well, I reckon you should start building up some muscles to carry it around
But honestly, I think that it is pretty amazing. It appeals to me even more so since I love history and I love historical miniatures too. And seeing the amount of dedication and detail you put in it just puts my modeling skills to shame.

That's simply amazing!
Are you gonna finish it someday, or will master it like forever?
