Designed with the purpose of landing a man on the Lunar surface and returning him to Earth, the Artemis Program is a downsized Apollo with original designs completed by starting from scratch. Here the Artemis command and lander modules are docked while making their transfer to the moon from Low Earth Orbit. Overall, the two modules mass in at 23,111.4 kg. Both modules use a combination of hydrazine and dinitrogen tetroxide as propellant. The Artemis command module is capable of holding two human passengers, while the Artemis Lander is only capable of holding one.
