Your not kidding. Don't get me wrong, I like that Norm's stepped up his game, and is being taken more seriously as a threat. But what ever happened to his obsession with Spider-Man. And they seem to forget, that the Goblin isn't just a costume, it's an independent personality, that makes Osborn do the horrible things he does.

It's a trade off, for sure. I love that Norm is now Marvel's Lex Luthor. And it would work, too if the Avengers would be completely blown away by Norm's newest scheme. Then Spider-Man steps forward and says, "I got this." He counters every one of Norm's moves and takes charge of the situation. When Norm sees that he's losing, he clenches his fists and shouts "Spider-Man!!"
That would be VERY satisfying.

It would. Instead Spidey has almost nothing to do with those stories, and none of the other Avengers ever think to ask him for advise on how to deal Osborn.
