aaaaaages ago i did this sketch [link]and i started inking it on my old pc. then it died. so eventually i got around to redrawing it.
not too pleased with the colours and everything but i've had enough of the damn thing now.

started in Flash CS3, finished in CS5. gradients included!
I started out using the line tool for this but have recently graduated to the pen tool, after finally learning to use the sodding awkward thing!

maybee make the areas of propulsion have a little bit more white in the gradiants to give it a more propulsion type feel
it would also aid in giving her more movement

thats a good suggestion, are they areas of propulsion though? i was thinking of her lowereing herself down. i dont know what shes supposed to be doing with her hands.

well i was thinking from the center cause it kind of reminded me of the iron man style of jet propulsion from the feet and steering balance jets from the hands
thus white hot energy at the center and colored flame/smoke the farther you get away from the engine sight like this spaceship i drew along time ago [link]

heh, well mostly they are the colours used in the comic i guess, but i felt like i didnt handle them too well. (theres definitely some colour on the neck/chest that needs rethinking!)

fuckin brilliant comic dude. cory walker drew the first few issues, and the way he can draw movement, expression and perspective with such few lines is staggering. it was like reading an awesome cartoon. and then it had art by :iconwya;, which is just AWESOME, not only because he can draw characters with different facial expressions - something that escapes a lot of "good" comic artists (jim lee or michael turner for example!) but also the stories and art get EXTREMELY graphically violent.
and thats aside from the great storylines and characters and blablabla!

oh i read the first volume and thought it was cack, so havent picked up another volume. Lots of people seem to like it, maybe I expected too much from volume 1, but didnt like the story, didnt like the characters, didnt like the artwork or colours. Thought it was very overrated.
