sorry but i got stuck on the step which was something about spinning it till u get this i cant do it, but i read on and i must say origami with cutting in it is unfortunatly a big no-no. BUT i dont care, i just cant do that step sorry.[link]

if you can make a crane, just do the same process, (and stop before it actually becomes a crane XD) and you'll come out with the same thing

Hey, I tried making this for my girlfriend.. but got ABSOLUTELY lost on the fourth picture lol.
I did the first fold, then the second, but I don't know how you're able to make that into a square on one of the sides, and i tried my way around it but by the time i got to the seventh picture I realized I wasn't able to do that
Ahh!! I love this piece and really want to surprise my girlfriend with this. if you could post back on how you are able to do this in further detail it would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks

it's a bird base, so if you know how to make a crane, it's pretty much the same thing
