"Grievous"Original model mesh by: Darth Steven (Steve Wishart)
A character that could have been great....but wasn't. I wish they had made him a lot more menacing in the movie, but oh well. I textured this awesome model in C4D with my own touches ( I intentionally never referred to the actual character's colors, so you guru's don't bug me with the authenticity of the colors)! Hope to do a bit more with this model, maybe some animation if I get some time.

I don't know why but this really catches my eye. I think it's just weird and funky to see greivous in those colors. Nice work

Steve, C4D is a very powerful and full featured 3D program. It handles many common file types. It has special effect features, body paint, a cloth feature, animation tools, etc. It has a lot of features that make modeling easier, and any 3D artist can get used to it quickly.

Hey Wetpixel,
Nice take on my model, very abstract looking...let me know if you do end up animating him as I'm having a hell of a time trying to rig him up to bones...I'm using 3dsMax...think I'm going to have to break down and purchase CAT for a skeleton rig for him....

Thanks for the comments Wetpixels...I just found all this through a random search on my name and thought I'd join on...I'm also on the 3dtotal forums alot...If you are new to modelling and want to learn more about it, it's a great place to chat with other 3d users....I see you use C4D, there are alot of people who use that app on the above forum...You should join up there if you haven't already. What is C4D like to use....apparently, it looks like it has no problems interpreting Max models?
Whereabouts are you from? I'm based in Canada just north of Toronto Ontario.
By the way, I'm nowhere near a pro at this stuff! hahaha....Just taught myself in my spare time.

Thanks Steve, nice to see you're part of this community. Your model is outstanding. I'm pretty new to animating, and yeah, it's an incredibly difficult model to animate. Too much for me to try to tackle right now. I'll leave that up to you pros! Full render looks great btw.
