Taiyang Xiao Long is the leader of the Familia Rosa, which is a Cuban American Cartel Family. The 'Familia Rose' are mostly trying to keeps everything in control instead of being like any other crime organization. They stopped selling drugs, guns, human trafficking and prositution back in the mid 70s. They didn't like the idea and it was a bad reputation. The Rose Family was almost taken out by the Columbian and Bolivian Cartels because they want them to continue doing it because they're the best at it and wanted to take over their district because the family stopped. The Colombians were then wiped out including Bolivians and now the Familia Rosa now controls South America...with the help of Grimm and now in their debt. Taiyang Xiao Long was a former hitman assassin for the Black Dragons in Los Angeles but he betrays them because they were doing prostitutions, kidnapping women and children and drugs. He even rat them out the police anonymously and moved out to Florida and it where he met Raven Braewen and Summer Rose. They were in a love triangle marriage. Summer Rose was the official leader of the Familia Rosa Cartel because only Bloodline can be the leader of the family. When Summer died by illness, Taiyang had to take over. Ruby and Yang got the training by their parents and were being assassins and then started creating their own small mafia crew to help out the Familia Rosa to try to pay off the debt...but the problem is that Grimm is taking care of loose ends.
