Hey everyone! This is a new set up I'm trying in order to tell the story that's supposed to happen at Asteria, since it allows me to get through a lot of dialogue and events without having to spend ages making sure that the landscape is well set up so someone can imagine how it looks. Overall, I think this is an okay first try, but the dialogue itself is a bit static. Also, I unfortunately botched up the scan a bit and now it's got a sort of bluish tint to it that I hadn't expected.None of the less, I did enjoy this exercise, and I am already working on the next page. Tell me what you guys think!

Nice work! I particularly like the aerial shot in the bottom-left panel. The way you drew your characters also looks good too.
If you want to do some touching up after scanning, I would recommend Paint.NET. It's about halfway between Photoshop and MS Paint. That or pixlr.com. Both are free.
Otherwise, investing in some markers would be good. Especially for the panel edges; ball-point pen can only do so much.

Words cannot express how happy I am to see the Asteria story set in comic form 
MS Powerpoint or one of the OpenOffice programs would be useful for quickly designing and printing the panels prior to drawing.
