Description
This came about after looking at a bunch of 's chimerapes, then sitting through 2 hours of BBC's Mansfiend Park. Tried to make it look a little more evil than the others.Related content

Thanks! Looking back at it now, the ribcage and neck column are huge compared to the tiny hips.

Feels like an 1800's intellectual. Beard and sideburns, dark of hair. Sinister intentions of stealing a young chimerape's hand in marriage.

I envy your creature design skills. So bizarre yet believable. I could imagine this guy being living on some unexplored island.

that would really really make my day, ha! That's what I love about the spec community, is the striving for believability. Movie monsters are often so disappointing just for their .. 'ineconomy.' This thing would have to move gently, without its hear shaking around all the time & jumping & roaring all over the place. movie people, plz.

No. I was thinking of getting my hands on a copy of The Handmaid's Tale, as I heard that it was really rather good. I just looked up Oryx & Crake and think I have to find that one too.
Damn me not being near real libraries!

Wowz, that's awesome. My first impression was "azhdarchid", but then I started looking closer and seeing all primate aspects. Very well done!

When I first saw this, I immediately thought of a Dixonian or Naishian flightless pterosaur. The impression sticks even after seeing it up close, though not in a bad way.

Hmm, there's always a quandry when one tries to represent primates in comics ... on eother end of the spectrum are the chimp or the squirrel monkey. Or do we go the way of Diddy Kong, representing a stereotypical monkey that doesn't exist? This is something that must be pondered.

a whole new plot line opens up! Incidentally, I was thinking about Mr. Monkeybags the other day, more specifically about the character 'The Spaniard.' For some reason I thought of a character 'The Half-Spaniard' with an inferiority complex, basically just looks like a white dude .. maybe balding, beer belly, etc.

SUH-WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!
I want to take it home with me. To be ALONE with me.
It looks totally wicked, dude...Savage, predatory. Those conical teeth are especially disturbing juxtaposed with the cloven artiodactyl hooves. Almost like a mesonychid (a whale with legs!). I can also see this creature as a very stylized leucrotta, far better than any I've ever seen elsewhere. Awesome...
In some ways this is like an improved version of my Quadruperson! It's very similar to what I'd considered for taking the Quadrupeople in an even more ungulate direction, phyletically speaking. And that horbill crest...Man.
What else can I say? You've outdone yourself again.
Instant fave.

Ha, that's a lot of association! I can't honestly say I was thinking of any of those things .. i just read the toucan/proboscis monkey comment you had made and kind of flashed on this. If I'm 100% honest with myself, i think i'd have to say that Son of Man influenced this at least a little, but I really don't know where the thick long neck & tiny feet came from!
