For one of my first ever friends on deviantArt, ~Kileaiya , who passed away 4th of September this year.Her namesake Star Wars fan character, a Cathar girl, was the first friend of the first incarnation of my character Zephan Cether (confused yet?). Here they are with some cookies, a sort of inside joke we developed way back then. I initially would have drawn a more serious picture, but I suppose instead of dwelling on the negative feelings, I ought to remember what a happy person she was.
This was a direct pen sketch colored with a gray marker and white conte pencil.
I will miss her!

Its wonderful. Its good to have friends; even if we lose them at some point. The pain will pass; but the memories you'll have forever.

it's sad when someone so young dies, i can somewhat know what you feel despite i never lost a friend this way

I'm so sorry for your lose. I lost one of my most beloved pets this morning. He passed away because he was really old. So I really feel for your grief right now because I'm grieving as well. It may not be the same kind of grief, but I do hope that you have happy days ahead.
Happy memories are always the best ones to have.

My boyfriend died last year on september 6th.

Prior to this year September did not hold good memories for me either but nothing quite so tragic. The loss of someone that close to your heart is quite difficult.

I don't know how exactly, but it was some time after an operation. As I understand it she was usually in need of surgery due to a car accident she had about 6 years ago which cost her both her lower legs, among other things.
