It's funny. All the time I spent drawing superheroes, and I still can't do a decent Superman.This piece was done on paper, but edited with the tablet. Nothing real special, just getting a feel for the gizmo.

You always seem to draw superheros in everyday poses, which is why your art is so funny.

Supes is hard to draw. Always has been. For me it's mostly his logo. I mean, it's obviously an "S" but it's uniquely abstract. That and his face is strange. Tiny eyes, little curl of his hair, etc. It's hard to get that right as well without crowding the face or making him look crosseyed.
Yeah, it's odd that he invented the archetype but still remains elusive to some artists.

I tried that in pencils, but it didn't really turn out right. Maybe next time.

Still a great piece Gaff. I still have to look at the S to draw it, and even then it doesn't look exactly like the version I'm copying.
