And there's that little smile from the grumpy one. Gale's happy Kenya's here, and perhaps a little sad as well. This is a war they desperately need help with, but not one Gale thinks they can ever stop fighting. Such things are... grating, and despite everything he wouldn't wish that fate on anyone.
Save himself, of course, but we all know Gale has a lousy opinion of his own worth.
I know I've said it a lot, but you are really good at facial expressions. There's so much emotion packed into every frame, especially with Kenya. At first she's uncertain, but as she walks forward her confidence grows until she's smiling and catching up with Gale. You've made a lot of astounding progress over the course of this story. Not that you weren't already a fantastic artist, of course, but there's been some amazing growth. This whole comic has been a treat to read.

And yet, despite everything, there is someone else to ease the burden. She comes from a life of kill or be killed. This life is not new, but the friends are.
Gale needs some more sunshine XD (good thing this castle is currently filled with such a happy group... for the most part, haha)
Ahhhhh thank you! It's been so much fun to draw, and I definitely love everything I've learned about comicking. It's making finishing Shifted a little difficult, just cause I started with such a different format, but now that I know what works smoothly for me, I can do better in future comic endeavors (which there will be MANY more.

This has been so good. I especially like the middle three panels. Its bittersweet but mostly sweet. Kenya can visit them anytime. ^^ Almost there Doodle!
