Poison Ivy Sketch CardThis was a fun card to draw--I love her crazy hair. I know my version seems a lot friendlier than the comics version--think of her as Poison Ivy just after being watered? Yep, sounds weird.

Looks good, and now that I think of it, yeah her hair is pretty crazy half the time.

She needs some conditioner for those crazy waves...dunno about the hair--I think it goes with the character. Didnt Tim Sale almost draw it as leaves or something in his Jeph Loeb's books?
She seems like a character you can put a spin on and she is still recognizable...

Yeah, I remember a full-page splash in... Dark Victory, I think, where her hair was everywhere. Seriously, she needs to tame that hair of hers... but it works better untamed in regard to the design since it looks more natural which is somewhat her gimmick ("protect nature" and all that, when really she just keeps putting plants in harm's way by making Batman fight them... heh).

I do really like it how Dustin Nguyen draws here...she is very sleek yet organic...He does one of my favorite interpetations of the character...

Yeah, he has a good take on her. His inker has a dA page and sometimes posts something from what they're working on a bit before it goes on sale.

Yep! We must have similar tastes--I check out his work quite a bit...I wish I could ink like that, his lines are soooo smooth.

Thank you! It's funny, I laid down the green thinking it would be the right tone and holy crap, it was way darker....I used my blending marker on her for about 10 minutes...LOL...I was getting dizzy from the fumes.
