Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites - Skrillex

If any of you all watch my other account, , you'll know the harrowing tale of my computer going kaput over the past two weeks or so; basically, my computer was riddled with an awful virus and we had to reset it... twice. It was not fun.

In any case, I got itching to do some digital art once my computer was restored to functionality (i.e., today)! I decided to draw one of my new favorite musicians- Skrillex, aka Sonny Moore.

He makes a variety of electronica music, and I enjoy it very much. Some of my faves are "With Your Friends," "I am Skrillex," "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites," and "Father Said." In any case, Skrillex is totally adorable and has a beautiful voice, so I had a lot of fun drawing him! Especially his big ol' glasses and that koala-nose, hehehe. <3

In any case: this is up here 'cause I used photo references to get the shapes of his nose/eyebrows/lips/hair/face right, and because I quite like how it turned out. The anatomy/photorealism isn't the best and neither is the shading (I don't even know what I was doing... also, can you tell that the sprites were a last minute addition??? ), but I'm quite happy with this thing.
Perhaps I'll do more portraits of people I like... that would be a fun project!
