I'n relatively happy with this. There are a couple things I'd change if I could, but this will have to do. Maybe someday there will be a new version. Hope you like it.

Thanks.
It really didn't take as long as you might think. The foliage was mostly done in one sitting. After that it's just a little fine tuning as needed.

Thanks for the reference photo.

Thanks. There's really just a few actual delineated leaves. The rest just read as leaves due to the suggestion.

Right!!I've painted leaves there is no easy way of doing them, even suggesting them is hard work so there is a lot of work on show here!

The more you do, the easier it gets. I've done a lot.

I've got to work harder then, it painting leaves gets easier, I always find them a bore, but you've really captured the feel of them

If you're working on them long enough to get bored you may be working too hard already. All this foliage was 85-90% done in a little over an hour. After that initial layin the rest was just pushing a spot back, pulling another spot forward and adding a few details with a more opaque paint as needed.

A little over an hour!!When I do anything it's days not hours and I think I'm doing ok. But that is oil and water colour speed and a lot of talent are the thing, as can be seen here.
I am a little obsessive though and sometimes think things are crap because I cant see the wood for the leaves!
