Description
"Aye, it's rare that the Capt'n treats his crew to anythin' that's not tacked into a fee down the line, but I could'na help myself when I saw those big, beady, loving eyes on the Boys when they laid eyes on a set of revolvers I swiped, ahem, nicked....ahem, procured from a trade ship East of the Leviathan Isles. Wouldn't ya know, Mustelidae have a keen sense of ownership and a quick hand ta boot. I've found them polishin' their swag and various weapons in the wee hours of the morning just to admire the shine. Little thieves that they be, I gave Horus and Anubis each one of these beauties, and they quickly torn them apart, oiled them up, threw them back together with meticulous skill and stowed them where any good sky lacky would. Right amid their belt sash, ready for duty. Such good boys they are, for three-foot tall sticky-fingered no-good thiev'n types. I do love them so."Any chance to include the boys in a story, I swear, I love my ferrets so much. That aside, The Lapis Revolvers are polished and ready for show. I have to admit, I was worried about the contrast levels of so many textures/colors but I think that really sells the mismatched, pieced together concept quite well. Thoughts?

Quite an eye catcher! Love the contrast, personally. I think it looks like it could use some chipping/wear on the blue, only because of the wrapped handle (I know the wrap is part of the Z-strike mold, but I would be tempted to see if I could sand it smooth or cover it with a real wrap). I like the look of elegance mixed with utilitarian design; betting it would look good with a Borderlands or dieselpunk theme as well. Nice job!

Oh yeah, i'm looking into a borderlands inspired piece shortly. Check out my Solaris Rail Cannon. That's sportin' a great deal of borderlands conceptual ideas

I like it. I might consider dry brushing the blue and black sections in silver to give it some depth and make it look a little used, but it's a nice piece even without it.

I appreciate it. The black/brown hybrid has been my main dirt/grime appeal to steam/diesel (a lot of backslack). The biggest factor against me is the lack of a proper camera. Can't help but feel like a lot of my details are missed due to poor lighting and lacking technology, lol .

Well I must say i'm impressed, I wasn't keen on this gun before your paint job! The only thing I would change would be the fabric around the handle it just dosen't seem right somehow..

Lol a typical comment on zombie strike repaints. I have the fabric to cover it up but I cannot help but think it has some level of painting challenge for the overall concept

No no my lady, simply that most viewers want the artificial fabric covered up. I don't mind either way personally but I have fabric for such an occasion

Ahh I see! My thoughts were more along the lines of the colours don't match the rest of the gun and could be painted to look more like fabric with enough shading/highlighting/dry brushing/ect It just has an unfinished feel to it though of course it could just be the photo thats throwing it off...

It looks magnificent, but just a little underwhelming... Maybe some more modifications to the main weapon or something, but all'round a good looking one.

Yeah, I picked the weapon specifically because I didn't fell like I needed to do as much to it as I did for say Colonel Mustard's Handcannon. She's getting there

I think it looks designed, with maybe a grip replacement from someone who favors wood grips, but it has a nice overall look to it, I agree that the contrast is nice
If I had the chance, I'd probably buy these xD

aye, it feels rather haphazard up close but at the same time, rather calming. and I can see 3 foot weasels in baggy pants, vests, and goggled caps toting something like this around. Using both their little paws to steady it and fire, then rolling backwards into a summersault. It would be an interesting battle. Capt'n on melee with the hammer, the boys right behind on direct fire with the Lapis Revolvers, and Major somewhere on the Whiskey firing off rounds from Patriot Act, probably doing far more killing then the other three of us combined.
