Great painting! The horse is gorgeous with such nice, shiny highlights! You're really great at digital painting.

How'd you make the hair effect in the mane and tail? I can never get those two right.

I use a 2-3px hard round brush to paint in the individual strands of hair. Its a bit time consuming and often frustrating but its worth it in the end =]

Oh, yeah, and another thing -
I'm currently working on a horse picture, too, and when I looked at this picture and back at mine, I realized that we used the same lineart. XP
It doesn't really matter, I just noticed it now.
P.S. - I also found a really nice tutorial here on DA for hair, and combined with your advice with the small brush, it looks really nice. Thanks for that!
