Lichenpool had been out collecting herbs without the usual company of Asterleaf or Kestrelcry. He had been scolded by both on multiple accounts regarding this behavior, especially given the fact he was a kittypet, unused to combat. And a healer on top of that. But he couldn't trouble Asterleaf when the younger herbalist was busy tending to their leader, and he couldn't tear away his mate from their children when all three had been napping so peacefully together. So he had chosen to come out alone, trailing far from his usual paths in the territory, and looking up in surprise at the statement given by a stranger.
There was a hint of familiarity in her dark pelt, and he clicked his tongue lightly against the back of his teeth before letting out a breath, "Are you Bramblepaw's mother?" a delicate voice he bore, gentle with patients and with those around him, "Of the Clan that Redfur came from as well, I believe?"

Batspeck was also out gathering herbs, she needed them to get the edge off of the famine back at the camp.
The black she-cat purred at the mention of her only son. She had caught wind of his new name, she was so proud. "Oh yes! Yes I am his mother~" She smiled warmly. "Gingerstar's son is a warrior already? How the time flies... I remember when he was a little kitten~" She set down the little herbs she had. "My name is Batspeck~ Very nice to meet you!" The she-cat wanted to tell him about the kits from his clan that Galeclan had taken in.

He relaxed instantly at the confirmation, his tailless form gentle in its posture, mismatched eyes crinkling at the edges, "It's a pleasure to meet you, I am the senior healer of SunClan, my name is Lichenpool." Giving a respectful dip of his head he straightened back up to continue the conversation, "And yes, Redfur is a strong warrior with a childish energy, he keeps everyone on their toes~" curling his toes into the dirt with a fondness in his tone he continued, "He loves spending time with the kits, so I'm fairly sure sometime in the future he will make an excellent father~"

She smiled warmly. "Very nice to meet you Lichenpool!" She purred as she dipped her head in return. "He did drive a few warriors insane when he was still with us~" She chuckled. "I'll have to come visit you guys soon! Redfur sounds like he would be a wonderful parent!" Batspeck sat down, curling her bushy tail over her paws. "Lightningkit, Aspenkit and Creamkit are going to become apprentices soon!" She purred, thinking of the three little kits that came to her clan from Lichenpool's. "Lichenpool is a very nice name too!"
