Skyspirit trailed along in a happy gallop before he realized that he was going far too fast to stop in time, mewling a slight warning before his fluffy body slid right into the other tom's. Dark and light fur mingling together, the two toppled to the snowy ground in a heap of limbs and fluff. Tangled with the other tom, the young warrior gave a nervous laugh, "S-Sorry, looks like I was just...going too fast...forgot it was snowy and downhill I...sorry shadow," he mumbled, slowly trying to pull away from how close they were, the warmth of his pelt against Gale's.

"An' here I was thinkin' yah migh' be happy to see me." Shaking off the new snow the tom briefly thought to curse at the new wave of snow chilling his pelt.

"Did you decide to take me up on my offer?" his head tilted lightly.

---

"I didn't decide to accept yah offer, I'm out scouting again is all... In fact I just ate a rat." Huffing faintly the male gave a calculating look to the other before turning his attention to his paws faintly.

"A rat ?" he tilted his head, not disgusted, but curious, "I can't say I have ever eaten a rat before...are you all right then? No wounds or anything from your more...violent companions?" he trailed in a full, soft circle around Gale, being sure to inspect him for injuries before relaxing, sitting down near him and letting out a soft purr.

Briefly the male gave a faintly rasping laugh, white flashes of sharp teeth visible when his maw opened to release the hoarse sound. Though he didn't turn on the other when they took a seat near him after circling him, instead watching through partially closed and tired eyes.

Soft blue eyes widened with surprise at the raspy laugh, before lighting up as though they had been given one of the greatest gifts imaginable, a purr trickling from his jaw like a fond bubbling brook, wrapping around them where they sat and stood in the clearing.

"I doub' I understand wha' tha truth is behind our leaders reasoning, but he wan's the territory. Simple and plain." Glancing at the other the male briefly twitched an ear forward before releasing both in a amusingly resigned manner, as though upset he could bring himself to keep looking irritated at just existing.

"He wants the territory...but there's plenty everywhere else isn't there? On the other side of the city, even?" Skyspirit looked confused, but hopeful, "I'm sure that if he were to talk to the leaders they could help him figure out where to go...help all of you," he moved to inspect the tom's pelt, gently leaning in to groom out a nearby mat he could see, knowing it was probably uncomfortable.

“I’s no’t as simple as jus’ talkin’ it out-...” Cutting off at the other began to groom at a mat in his pelt the tom briefly went quiet with a faint twitch of his ears and the touch. Instead he remained quiet for a moment to try and sort out his fluttering and scattered thoughts with a few muttered curses and grumbles.

“I’t jus’ wouldn’ work tha’ way yah keep thinkin’ Sunshine.” Turning his head to look at the other the tom raised a eyebrow, “Wha’ are yah doin’? Yah trust othe’rs so easily i’s odd.”

Raising his own head from the grooming to meet the intense fires of the tom's stare, he smiled warmly, "To give one a chance is to show that you have a belief in them and the beauty within them, I do not see the gain in instantly glowering at those around oneself," he flexed his paws, glancing down at them almost shyly, "I prefer to think that we all can get along, if we just put forth a bit of effort."
