Yeah most people do giveaways since from what I can remember, the only things allowed to be sold are crafts that are one of a kind. Like I guess if you did these by hand rather than printing them out from an original, they would all be unique items that could be sold. Mostly it's mspa trying to keep a hang on monopolizing merchandise though I know they aren't too strict on it otherwise they would have hopped down the throats of all the websites like gaia who make their items into cash items much much sooner. I suppose out of respect though it's best not to try to take money from MSPA simply because it is actually being used as an income...
Regardless a giveaway is still an excellent way to go about it. That or if you were really interested in making money, including a button with something like...say...a commission might increase incentive?

It is worth noting however if you would like to make a profit off something, you can email him. I hear that he usually says yes particularly in the area of handmade goods.

Yeah, I'd heard mention of that. I figured if I /did/ sell them it'd pretty much only be at cons. I guess I'll ask if I do decide to try selling them! And they would all be kind of handmade?? Like, I'll be cutting out and making each button, so it'll be a lot of manual labor lmao
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah I'm thinking I might make a blog specifically for giveaways. I'm doing a One Piece giveaway sometime within the next couple months, and I'm gonna try and make some large prints for the homestuck giveaway... maybe buy some posters from the official store, lol. b:
