An RP between Sagestream and Mudfang~

"Well I fell in love with a vine of thorns and tried raising a family with it," he spat sarcastically. Obviously this cat had no intention of being useful. He plucked a few out of his flank. His back what being pierced in places he couldn't reach. He muttered some cursing under his breath. "Sagestream, I heard that you actually HELPED with cat's issues. Or is this just a tall tale?"

"If you think I'm going to help a sarcastic, mouse-brained, clumsy excuse for a warrior who decided to play hide and go seek in a thorn bush then you have sadly been misinformed." Sagestream coolly retorted back, wearing a blatant smug expression.

"You missed a spot." The she-cat chuckled lightly as she watched the warrior struggle to reach a few areas of which she knew he would never get without the help of another cat.

Mudfang got pieces of sentences through at a time while he chased in circles or hoped or rotated his shoulders trying to get the thorns out, "oh yeah," pants ",well maybe" twists, "you're a sad excuse," grunt ",for a medicine cat!" He does a litle hop skip motion then snorts in anger. The next tactic was to shake his pelt. He got one tiny one out but that wasn't much compared to the bundle of them in between his shoulder blades.

Sigh.... Sagestream watched Mudfang struggle to free himself of the parasitic thorns that clung tightly to his fur and shook her head in sympathy. "Hold still." She padded up to the warrior and placed a paw on his back, licking and chewing at the thorns between his shoulder blades.

She managed to get a few out quickly and placed them in a neat pile next to her tail before continue her extraction. "Now don't go sticking your paws in my pile of thorns. If you start bleeding, I'm going to let you die from it." Sagestream lectured him as if he were a mindless kit who couldn't keep them self out of trouble.

Mudfang ignored the lecture. The thorns were a pain in the side- like a handful of the cats in this clan. Mudfang wished he had been born deaf, he might have lived a happier life that way. When Sagestream finished he mewed, "thanks," adding a bit of reluctance.

"You're very welcome, Mudfang." Sagestream replied, taking full advantage of his 'gratitude'. "Next time, though, try to visit me with a sprained paw or a bleeding shoulder. At least that way we both have a reason to complain and I can hear you scream like a kit when I try to fix you." The spunky she-cat winked at the warrior with a smug attitude.

A low growl hung in his throat. It took a moment of self control to keep the frustration from moving to his claws. "Talk like that will end you up with a bleeding shoulder. Try not to get under the warriors' paws, sweetie." He tried to sound like a queen lecturing her kit. Mudfang returned the wink.

"Call me 'sweetie' again and I'll soon have to demonstrate how to properly close a wound." Sagestream stared into his eyes, smiling amusingly, and swishing her tail from side to side as if waiting for the right time to strike.

"What's it gonna be tough guy?"

"Well I'll be glad to watch you demonstrate on yourself!" He yipped sarcastically. He sat there unsure of whether this was about to be an anger clash on both sides and a full claw attack or a tussle. The classic scene of the tow consciences telling him "attack and feel the adrenaline" and "she's just playing." Mudfang didn't want to start the fight/ tussel because whichever conscience he listened to would be wrong. He slowly rose to his feet and flicked his tail, "what'cha waiting for sweet cheeks?"
