Formal Time Smith. Son of Time Watcher Smith (Aka, Doctor Whooves) and Ditzy Derpy Hooves.

He straightened his tie and let out a shaky breath as he looked in the mirror. Today was the day and he was not gonna mess it up.

School.

A PUBLIC school.

Ugh.

Something about his parents saying he needed to get out and make friends or something like that. He enjoyed home schooling, it was quiet, peaceful, and not around OTHERS.

But he wanted to make his parents happy, plus his homeschooling was not giving him what he wanted and they said this public school would because of the range of classes. Which surprised him since it was such a tiny school just outside of Ponyville.

Smith grabbed his bag for the new day and went downstairs. His mother had already packed his lunch and had it sitting by the door.

”Ohhh, I’m so proud of you. I know how hard this is gonna be, but I know you will be great.” Derpy spoke kindly.

Smith forced a smile but dropped it almost immediately. The nerves started to set in.

“Come now Smithy. It’s gonna be ok.“ She put a hoof on his shoulder and smiled any motherly smile.

Smith knew it would be, but still, so many ponies. He hated talking to others.

He nodded at his mother and went to grab his lunch.

“would you prefer I walk with you, I have a little time before I need to head to work.”

Smith turned around happily and eagerly nodded. Derpy smiled and they both left.
