Description
So, there are two sorts of people. One claims that all the Disney sequels are bad, the other claims that some are bad and some are good. I'm one of those in the other sort. Sure, non of these are as good as the original, but that doesn't mean that all of them are bad.

That's why I decided to separate the good from the bad and tell what I think is good and at least tried to make sth good out of itself and what is bad and didn't try at all.

The good is in the green and the bad is in the red.

First, The Good.

Cinderella 3: Twist In Time - I talked about this on one of my Lists of Movies I like but Everyone Hates. In case you don't know, this one is a sort of a what-if story, where the stepmother and her daughters find fairy godmother's wand and use it to turn the time back and alternate it in order to ruin Cinderella's life and it's up to Cinderella and her friends to fix it. Trust me people, compared to the 2nd movie, this one's a masterpiece. The animation is more fluent, the charaters look more faitful to design of the original, there's a proper story and the characters at least do sth. Cinderella does take the situation in her hands as oppose to waiting to be rescued and all that stuff. Like in the 2nd movie, it does have one of the stepsisters, Anastasia, to redeem herself. And believe me when I say that it's much better here than in the 2nd movie. And to be honest, I find that THIS is more of an official and proper sequel than that.

The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride - Most people are split with this one. While the animation quality is obviously lower, the story actually does feel like a continuation. While the first one is technically based on Hamlet, this one is kinda like Romeo and Juliet. Think about it, the couple of that movie, Kiara and Kovu are from two lion clans who hate each other, they are in love and it's up to them to put an end to it.
Some people say that Kiara and Kovu are a better couple than Simba and Nala, because they are more developed. And to be honest, I agree. Bottom line, this is a pretty good sequel. Plus, it has a a villain that is just as diabolical as Scar, if not even more.
And a pretty good soundtrack.

Aladdin and The King of Thieves - Kinda like Cinderella, a sequel that's better than the 2nd one. This movie does have a bit of a character development (although at the times Aladdin does feel like a bit of a jerk), a story that's not really that often heard (at least as far as I know), the characters do look a bit more faitful to the design in the original despite the lower animation quality and a bunch of stuff I'll talk about later. Btw, the soundtrack is pretty fun.

Pocahontas 2: Journey To A New World - Hated mostly because of Pocahontas ending up with sb different. I talked about this on one of Lists of Movies I like but Everyone Hates and in My Defence for Pocahontas. This does have a bit of a development of characters and a bit of a conflict between the characters that are clearly suppose to be allies. John Smith and Rolfe technically in a conflict in terms of Pocahontas' love, but are still fighting back to back when they need to defend her. As for PocahontasxRolfe. It is kinda realistic. Really, how many people DO stay with the first love of their life? As for animation, again, it's lower, but like Cinderella 3 and Aladdin 3, it does at least try to stick faitfuly to the character design. And it does have some rather fun songs.

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas - Long story short, characters stay in their personality, it has Tim Curry as a creepy villain, songs are passable and it has somewhat of the story.

The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata (btw, Ik that the official title of this movie is The Lion King 1 1/2, but in some countries, including Croatia where I live, it's called The Lion King 3.) - The animation does seem a bit more fluent and faitful in terms of animation and design to the original than TLK2 does. The songs are actually pretty enjoyable and catchy, and the story of TLK from the perspective of Timon and Pumbaa was pretty funny to me. Yeah, it is a bit cliched with Timon being the one to want more in life, but the connection between him and Pumbaa seems pretty nice. At the very least a passable sequel.

The Rescuers Down Under - This is, like, the only Disney sequel, every Disney fan will say that it's good. The animation is fluent, and from what I hear, it's really action packed. In fact, I hear that people say that it's actually better than it's predecessor which felt a bit boring.

Kronk's New Groove - Like I said a few times before, the animation seems fluent, the character designs seem faitful (Don't believe me? Compare the designs in this movie and the TV show), and the humor's good.

Peter Pan: Return To Neverland - The animation is fluent, the songs are nice, even though it feels as if they are sang rather unnecessarilly raspy, the characters are fun and it has a good moral.

And now *sigh* for The Bad.

Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Enchanted World - If you people are having trouble debating which one of the BATB sequels is worse, guess what. It's this one. Say what you will about BATB: Enchanted Christmas, but that at least is a movie. This has four shorts (Three of them having hammered down morals and one having a cliched missunderstanding story), the animation that, although it tries to stick with character design and backgrounds look nice, has animation goofs and the backgrounds and characters are not connected and the characters are turned into generic stereotypes. And as oppose to most Disney songs that have at least passable songs, the two songs in this feel as if they're made on spot. Basically, while the previous BATB movie wasn't all that appreciated, it is admited to be better than this. I mean, seriously, BATB The Enchanted Christmas at least had a plot. The shorts that, believe it or not, are actually episodes of a TV show that never happened and barely have a plot and it's just one of the most pathetic excuses for a movie. Just stay away from this and stick with the original BATB and maybe The Enchanted Christmas.

Cinderella 2: Dreams Come True - Nuff said.

Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 - Honestly.... this is technically a guilty pleasure in a way (that's right, , you're not the only one on this). Don't get me wrong, it's a bad movie, the animation is painful to look at, the story is really weak, especially compared to the original, the villain is a very pathetic and weak follow up to Frollo... but I do kinda like the songs and I kinda like how they did give Quasimodo a love interest after all. And I thought Madelline is a pretty nice character. And Phoebus' and Esmeralda's son Zephyr seemed pretty fun too. Soooo... yeah, a pretty bad movie, but at least some good came out of it. At least to me.

Atlantis: Milo's Return - In all honesty... I have no idea what to make of this movie. I practically remember nothing other than the animation being painful to look at (kinda like HOND 2), some giant octopus, the characters' eyes glowing green and at some point red... and that's it. I can't even tell what's the freaking plot.

Return of Jafar - Kinda like HOND 2, this is a guilty pleasure in a way. It does have inconsistancies with the story and the animation, the characters don't look that much like themselves (save for Iago, Genie and Abu) and it kinda feels like a kind of a pilot to the TV series more than a continuation of the first movie. While it does acknowledge some stuff from the first movie and there is a redemption of a character (Iago), it still doesn't make up for the fact that it has a lot of plot holes and clumsiness in writing and the fact that some characters are dumbasses in this.

Jungle Book 2 - The one that does literally nothing but saying "Hey, remember this from the first movie?". And that's about it. Sure, the actor replacements are good and the animation is ok, but the story pretty much does what the first one did. With most Disney sequels there is at least sth going on. With this, along with Cinderella 2 and Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Enchanted World, there's nothing going on. And that I think makes it one of the definitive worst of Disney sequels.

Now, you might be wondering why I didn't include Mulan 2, Brother Bear 2, TLM 2: Return to the Sea and Ariels Beginning and the midquels, Fox and the Hound 2, Tarzan 2 and Bambi 2.

I don't count midquels except for BATB and TLK, because those of Bambi, Tarzan and FATH are already unnecesary, Haven't seen Ariel's beginning, long time since I saw TLM 2.... and Idk what to make of Mulan 2 and BB 2.

I did like Mulan 2, even though it did share the same problem with Ariels beginning (at least from what I heard). A character being a villain with a motivation of getting a job. Really, Mushu suddenly becomes a sort of a villain that wants to separate Mulan and Shang so he can have his job back. What's up with that? One thing that I did like though is the interaction between the daughters of the emperor and Mulan's friends. Other than that, idk what to make of this movie.

As for Brother Bear... well, I did like the characters and the songs seem pretty nice and the story does feel kinda touching. And I did like Kenai's love interest Nita. Sure, the animation really is weak compared the original (like most Disney sequels), but the overal movie seems at least ok.

So, that's about it. This is how I see these movies.
