Description
I really hate frogs, so look no further for the inspiration to this piece. My wife has two pet frogs in a tank that were supposed to be small little cute quarter sized darlings, but grew into mammoth jabba the hutt blobs in her tank. I do find feeding time fascinating. She throws in all these crickets and at first they wander around getting a feel for the new place. Then all hell breaks loose as one of them wanders across the devil himself and is devoured. It's every cricket for himself. This is when I start cheering for the crickets. "Go get them. You can beat these guys… work together". In this piece the crickets have joined together in a revolution against their oppressor. They will not take it anymore. Thanks for looking. I hope you see the humor in this.Related content

I like frogs, but I find this picture very funny. I used to have a lizard that ate crickets, and I always felt sorry for them.
Good job!

Yeah, I'm a heartless creep;] This is the closest I get to dark art. I didn't even have the stomach to include blood in the picture.

Haha this is great...I have a frog tank on my kitchen counter, and my mom hates it there, and is constantly telling my dad to take it elsewhere. I occasionally offer to feed it to my snake...it's an ongoing joke we're keeping the frog to fatten it and feed it to the Hognose
I really like the crickets in this x]

Go snake. I'll pretty much vote for any animal over the frog in a cage fight to the death. My frog phobia such a big joke in our house that everyone seems to give my wife and kids frog decorated everything.

Also, I really like the indistinct grass and weeds in the background. You are so great at creating subtle details like that.

The frog in back, is he being carried off? What wonderful silliness this is.
(Although personally, I think frogs are adorable.)

"wonderful silliness" That's an awesome label for this. Thanks. I think I'll make a special folder just for art that fits in this new favorite category of mine.
