If there's one thing that'd bring Dusk out of hiding, it's a reason to go visit his favorite alchemist~ Lune however, is not as pleased to have competition running a-muck~

So, of course, Dusk had to come back out of his sort of hiatus of traveling to go and help out Amaryllis with her newest batch of pippets. He managed to round them all up, and found the sleepy alchemist in a lush field. Now, with having read the flyer, Dusk thought to bring her a lid for her cauldron, and he almost did... but then he might not have a reason to visit her again.

Boy howdy does he need an update... been pondering changes, but nevertheless, here is Dusk, ready to hop right back into the fray....for one prompt... I'll do some more, hopefully, should i find the time ;o; I'm actually planning on getting him the pippet badge (since that'd be a reason to re-visit Amaryllis..maybe) but in any case~ I'm happy to draw my Dusky boy again~ he's always a pleasure to draw~

Story time;

It had been a good while since Dusk had last visited Goldfair; in fact, he was sure it had been at least two and a half seasons since he took a stroll out of the golden fields. Having the intentions to focus on his studies had taken priority for sometime, wanting nothing more than to become a master of the healing craft. However, his plans changed dramatically upon seeing the flyer for help in Goldfair, a familiar pouflon having accidentally created more of the little monsters- and with that, he headed off for the city.

A few days travel was all it took before he arrived in Goldfair, and what a lovely place it was. The air smelled of fresh flowers and sweet honey, an aroma he had forgotten how strong it could be if grown and collected in a flower-dense area. It was almost intoxicating, the sweetness that swirled around his head- or, was it toxic? He snorted a bit to clear his nose, only to be reminded of what happened the last time he stepped foot in any place other than Snowhurst; allergies.

Sneezing a few times more, the plucky pouflon's shoulders sagged as he was reminded of what the high concentration of flower pollen did for him; although they were a natural food source for their kind, he was born and raised in a place where flowers were not as common, and so, became sensitive to high concentrated sources. Luckily, he had a temporary cure for this exact situation, he just needed some honey.

After visiting a local baker, Dusk took the small sample of honey he required and began chanting a spell; taking the honey and lathering it over his nose to create a temporary healing over his sensitive nose. Once done, the slave disappeared and he could finally breath again. Though temporary, this little remedy helped him travel all across Bellecoste in his traveling days.

Now, back to business.

Heading back onto the road into Goldfair, Dusk began to see the all too familiar signs of pipastrophe. Spilled grain bags, littered shreds of paper and cupcake wrappers, and other bits of food left astray and unkept dappled the normally clean streets of Goldfair. With a sigh, Dusk began searching for the small critters, enlisting his companion Lune to help him out. The Ichigato he was given the last time he was here had grown into a fully untamed little sort-of-a-helper friend and nuisance. She could be very helpful at time, but at others... well, for now he hoped for the better of the two and began searching for the lost pippets.

It didn't take long before he came across a Puppea, running around with a bit of trash in his mouth; with a quick nip, Dusk managed to grab him by the tail and put him in a basket he had brought with him; the little trap working well to contain the small food-critters. Next, a Haloe scampered across his path, and after a short chase, he managed to catch the little spiky ball of a pippet (after of course, Lune pawed it around a bit); it not being a pleasant pick-up, but he got her into the basket nonetheless.

It took a bit of searching to find the next critter, honestly having mistaken it for a head of broccoli upon first glance, but the Asteryu's short stubby legs couldn't out run the determined Pouflon; making it's way into the basket and quickly followed by a Gnut that flew too close to Lune and got pounced on. then last but not least, Dusk managed to find the Teggre sitting in a window; hoping for an easy catch, Dusk approached quietly, only to have his plans foiled by Lune, who saw the other pippet as competition, and immediately began pursuit.

When he caught up to them and managed to break up the little squabble, he promptly put the mischievous pippet in the basket and began his trek out to Amaryllis' house. Lune was quite proud of her work and sat a-top his head, purring loudly; though Dusk was just happy to be on this road once more.

The cottage came into sight in no time, but a golden fleck among the grass caught his eyes first; making him detour towards it, only to find out that the speck was the pouflon he had been searching for. Laying in the grass and soaking up the setting sun's rays, Amaryllis hummed a little tune as she possibly pondered some new recipes, or maybe she was lulling off to sleep; either way, to make sure he wouldn't startle her, Dusk cleared his throat at his approach.

Upon gaining her attention, Dusk revealed to her the pack of pippets he had brought back, though they all quickly scampered out; with a worried look, he was about to try and cast a spell to detain them, but much to his surprise, the rowdy bunch quickly went back to Amaryllis, seeming to know who they truly belonged to. With a gentle smile, Dusk watched at the pippets paraded around and eventually curled up with Amaryllis, ready for a nap themselves.

Though, as much as he would have liked to stay, he knew very well he could not; eventually leaving once the group and their pouflon creator had fallen back to sleep.
