This is really a beautiful little tutorial. It never occurred to me to use a sewing needle for texture. Or for making designs. That's be a lot nicer than my toothpick, which kept leaving clay all over everything. o.O;
So pretty! I don't usually make food things, and when I do, I give them as presents, so no worries with me copying you. If I make anything similar, I'll be sure to credit you absolutely.
These are lovely little charms. <3

I checked Joann's but they had white scupley clay, I couldn't see color ones (myabe I missed it) but ah I was wondering, if I want colors to my white clay, I should mix with color chalk pastel?

I don't know, I never really tried that. :/ Why don't you try it for yourself? You could also consult some other clay artist's FAQs too and try find to out answers to simple questions on your own..? Because I don't know every little detail about clay making, sorry..

Hello!I would like to know how long time you make your charms?
I was looking for some tutorials and I discovery that we need to put the charms in forge,or wait 7 days to be ready?
Sorry my bad english , I am just trying xD

whitefrosty In reply to barbara-liana [2009-10-01 00:06:59 +0000 UTC]
LOL... what?
For me it takes like 2 minutes to bake ... but that's because my oven is kind of old and heats up really fast.
But overall it doesn't take that long to make the finished product... maybe a few days to get the glaze the dry and everything completed.

One more question. Do you know some clay that are transparent? For jellies, and transparent candies.
Bye

hey, this is fantastic! i was just wondering, did u use Sculpey clay for ALL of the parts of the cake? like the decorations (other then fruit) and the cake itself? and did u bake it at all, or does it get hard on its own?

translucent liquid sculpey ... liquid medium that turns hard when you bake it.
