Description We had to either invent a character or pick one already made and then draw a character model sheet for him/her, and since I already invented one, I picked one already made.

You know how hard it is to come up with a pose that neither you nor Silver nor Balistreri nor Butch have used yet?

Nice work!

One thing I've always wondered about animation, though - does the use of blue and red pencils in place of normal ones signify anything in the animation process? I keep thinking it must, since I've seen them used so much, but I'm not sure still...

Normally, the blue pencil isn't picked up by the capture device, so it isn't supposed to show up and is therefore used for structuring and keeping proportions consistent. I just darkened these two images so that people can see the blue. The red is more finalizing, to show details.

Well, you did a great job with them. It would be hard to come up with a pose that they haven't used. Those poses are really great especially the leaping back one. They really have a lot of enery in them. The one thing I really like is how consistant it all looks. The hardest thing for me to do when drawing Danny is his hair and it never looks the same from one drawing to the next but for you it looks very much consistant.

I know all too well what you're talking about. It is difficult to make up a pose for a character that you haven't seen them in yet. These interpretations look very nice, though. The poses you have him in are very dynamic and authentic-looking. The only thing that looks odd to me is Danny's nose in profile view. It would seem to me that his nose would be lower on his face, and his forehead a little more straight. Other than that, everything else looks quite fine.

great consistancy, WG! And I especially like the way you drew Danny in the bottom left corner.
