Description
3rd Commission art forLaurinya has cast a ritual that would give her - or so she thinks - her freedom. The problem is that the ritual, which required the sacrifice of one powerful magical item and ten rough diamonds placed in star formation, fed on the items Laurinya wore - a Robe of the Archmagi (stolen from her former mentor), a pair of boots of the North (which allows her to tread in icy weather with little discomfort) and several more items of different magical abilities -, which made the ritual much too powerful.
The ritual actually took place in the Shard, a frozen wasteland that housed some dark magic. It's because of that magic that Karyana's hair became ink-black.
The place would look like an open-air version of Superman's "Fortress of Solitude", but what technological 'parts' would be replaced by something more fantasy oriented.

Actually, the last point is behind her, so it would be a decagram. Honestly, I think that the fact you worked so much on the background and effects is what made this pic the best one of all the pics you've done for me.
Definitely worth the investment.
