So, I saw on social media that this week was Trans Awareness week, which prompted me to make this piece of my personal avatar. Although I then to hide my true self in public, the internet lets me express that part of myself more safely. I am a transgender woman; despite the doubt and societal pressures and all the external forces that work to keep me in hiding, this is the me in my heart.
