Description
This is a large commission piece for my long time friend and DM, the closing scene of a campaign we finished a couple years ago. The characters had been dealing with a rogue yochlol demon (shapeshifting servants of the Drow Goddess Lolth) that had been banished from the Abyss to be stuck on the material plane. Three of the characters had previously dealt with her in their youth (the humans in the middle) only to have her resurface decades later. After slogging through her demon minions and thoroughly defeating her, the heroes then argued over her ultimate fate, some bound by duty or just plain hatred to seal her once more, hopefully for good, while others were swayed by pity and compassion, as the demon had expressed her own seemingly 'human' emotions on the subject of her banishment. So the heroes argued over the demons ultimate fate. Seal her away once more, or find some way to either send her back home or possibly redeem her, and while they argued, she sat there in quiet bemused resignation, awaiting their Final Decision.
