Description I've visited many sites with the remainings of ancient tumuli and was always impressed with their power and atmosphere they still exude. In my monotype I didn't strive for a naturalistic rendering, but for a kind of archaic feel.

Hi Sirisuss!
I don't understand it completely either, but yep, "mysterious" was what I was aiming for.

Wow!! It's really... not tribal... but primal. Something from the "primal mind" would explain better. This is the way that the very constructors of the tumuli would have painted it.

Their own, intuitive and monolithic version of cryogenics, maybe?
Have we made a coccoon to protect our loved one, so he/she can be reborn again? We hope you rise again and fly. But we want you to be with us too.

Thanks so much for this comment! If it comes over as "primal", then I succeeded in what I was aiming for.

I like your idea of monolithic thinking. To me, those ancient burial sites seem to express: We give back our loved one to the womb of Mother Earth (she, who gives and takes), well protected and visible for anyone that may come this way.
