all the people pasted onto the render really ruined the great concept. Look at the rollergirl in the right-poorly cut, missmatch of lighting. The guy who jumps with a skateboard-do you thought about where would he land? Also most of the people's lighting/shadows do not match your scene's lighting...

Alright! Finally someone had the balls to give some real feedback. I appreciate it. I also agree with the things you pointed out. Only thing is that the people are there inside the render not added later in photoshop.
What would you suggest to do about the lighting of the people? It is giving me trouble all the time... Maybe you could shortly describe the workflw to get the lighting and shadows correct for the people?

I agree with bizkitfan as for what to do im not really sure. I'm not the best at lighting myself but I do hope you figure it out it would improve your work greatly. Also the also I feel like the plants in the shade don't have enough saturation I wouldn't think it would matter except the ones further left on the steps are really nice green and the ones in the shade just look too pale. Keep up the good work.

thankfully this is an ancient rendering already and we fit people in much seamlessly now...

A very interesting topography work you design in that stairs, i guess there could be some more connection between the proper stairs and the rest of the "boxes". Is that a skater doing a 50-50 on the roof edge?

Thanx m8! Again the timefactor played its cards. Only a few days to think everything through from the beginning, then a couple of more days to model everything and one day to render and postprocess... That dude on the roof edge is a monocyclist riding.

Nice man but for me the best shot is the bottom right hand corner shot!
that is from a photography stand point.

Cool m8! I agree on the eyelevelled view thing but the floating view was necessary to give the full picture of the idea- a mountain path through media. Since it is a school of film and media..

Oh no I totally get why you had to do it. Don't get me wrong this is such a cool piece man!
I especially like the converging grains of wood as well. Very pleasing

I love it! That's so cool. I'd love to see something like that built around here. However, wood wouldn't stand up very well to weather, I don't think. If it was concrete, or tiled, though, it'd be totally badass!

My baddassest comment ever!!
Thanx! And about the wood-concrete part- thats what the board also said after the competition.

Liked the concept 'different' kind of thing! n it would be fun. The steps do have realism but the scala white part and the back blue tiled board [the plane like thing] has less realism and also if you could re-consider the placement of the people. Idea well done. I also liked the lower right pic All the best for the contest.

hehe how can I tell how i will place them...?its just like when you work on it you get a feel of how and where they should look good or u can refer to photos i mean college steps and how students would stand in a natural way during an interval time and use it to get a pattern. I hope u don mind my long comments, saw u are up to some good things so thought to write what i felt would make it better. All the best once more.

Thnx! Would they allow to build something like this at your country- I mean the dangerous stairs where people could get hurt?

If it's not slippery than I'm sure it would be allowed. We've got crazy stuff build here so this shouldn't be a problem.. I would love a stair like this at my school!
