Another redrawing exercise! This is really helping me improve my anatomy and coloring
And I'm quite proud of this oneThis is a redrawing of an art trade I made for Kaiba-Loves-Samara a year ago of Seto and her OC Samara, who is Kisara's reincarnation. I was thinking of what to redraw to help my inspiration as I do commissions and I was scrolling through my gallery to see my old art that I can redraw. Then I came across the old commission I made for Samara and I wanted to do a better version of it with some new tricks I learnt for coloring the night sky and how to make the stars with flicking the paint brush with my finer with white paint.
And I love how this turned out! How do you guys think I'm doing in my redrawing series? Have any requests of what i can redraw next? feel free to check my gallery and leave a comment of what you like me to redraw!

I agree, she knew her ex was abusive and didn't call any family to come for him if she didn't have enough to raise both of her kids, and when Serenity told her Joey was coming to the hospital she seemed surprised, but he paid for the operation so of course he'll be there for her, and she left Serenity during the surgery and wasn't there when she was recovering. I feel like Serenity was somewhat neglected since Mrs. Wheeler took her, and in the Japanese credits Serenity was there to greet Joey but their mom wasn't there and it's speculated she moved to Domino alone.

I head canon that Mrs. Wheeler never understood what true family and love is because she didn't have neither of those things. I also felt like she never really loved Joey and only wanted daughters. Like I told another friend, I'm glad Mrs. Wheeler got Serenity away from her ex-husband because at the time, she needed the most care, but it cost Joey his innocence.

I headcanoned she has a poor relationship with her mother when her father died, and regretted marrying Jordan and saw Joey as his double but in actuality Joey is like her father who is strong and responsible. And he called her out on her wrongdoings before leaving him while Serenity was more submissive and obedient.
Same, of course I feel like Serenity was neglected.

I see. My DM OCs Lotus and Paige Francesco (twin sisters. French/Italian) would relate to Joey's situation since they're dealing with divorced parents, but their mother is the abusive one along with their French stepfather and one of their French stepsisters is a vain and spoiled brat. They have a good relationship with their Italian stepmother and stepbrothers. Their baby Italian half-sister, Sabrina, eventually enters Duel Academy.

They were born in Paris, but moved to Rome, Italy and later, Domino City, Japan after an attack on their childhood chateau.

All I'm going to say on that is that they fell to their deaths being struck down by Ra's lightening after Calla Du Toit-Heaton shot both of her daughters (she was going to kill them one by one, but Paige took the second bullet meant for Lotus after Mommy Dearest already shot her in the side) when Atem briefly came back in DSOD. So yeah, not saying any more than that.

Calla did the things that she did for her one true love: money. Her and her siblings' parents stated in their will that the Du Toit inheritance will belong to Calla as long as she has no abortions. Henri could care less about the money because he loved art more (and working for Pegasus as well) whereas Laurine felt that the condition was unfair, but knows that fighting her oldest sister in court would be a huge mistake.

They are, especially Cedric (the girls' French grandfather). Granted, he and Calla had their fair share of fights when she was in her teens, but he thought that arranging his eldest to marry Luigi would soften her. It only made her fight them and their rules even more. Once she dies, the rest of the family lets out a sigh of relief because she was past the point of redemption, even before Calla had the girls and their brother Enzo.
