Another Lore Olympus fanart, this time of an angry Persephone confronting he mother when she tries to take her back to the surface after hearing she was leaving the Eternal Maiden's program, however Persephone found out that not only did Demeter lie to her about being a fertility Goddess, but how Persephone's power caused the volcanic eruption at Pompeii that killed many mortals and Demeter and Hestia covered it up and lied to Hades about the souls entering the Underworld and that there are still souls wondering around as they were not registered. Persephone was filled with guilt for what happened to the humans who died, and is enraged that Demeter and Hestia lied about her being a fertility Goddess and because of them not being honest with her and teaching how to control her powers, they sheltered her and expected her to be the perfect maiden while humanity suffered because Persephone didn't know her potential or how to control her powers.

At this time, Persephone and Hades confessed their love and and Hades proposed to her, and he had to attend a meeting regarding the souls (while questioning Hermes 'cough' interrogating 'cough') and he made Persephone in charge of the Underworld as active ruler (hence why she's in her black dress and crown), when Persephone heard her mother coming to take her away by a Fury, she is shocked but isn't afraid, but in angry and calmly tells the Fury to send her in while she waits.

When Demeter storms in demanding where her daughter is, Persephone appears before her calmly says, "I'm right here, it's been a while mother." And Demeter is shocked seeing her daughter wearing a black dress and crown with her eyes red. When she demands Persephone why she left the Eternal Maidens program and why her grades were slipping, Persephone started her story about how she like the freedom she got, and how she met Hades and started to fall in love with him and started questioning if she really wanted to be a Maiden or because Demeter and Hestia were pressuring her to do it, and she also tells Demeter her trials such as her classmates seeing she has a dark side and how Apollo raped her and demanded she marry him, which horrified Demeter but Persephone tells her that she already had Apollo punished by having Zeus strip him of his God powers and reduced him to being a mortal after Apollo impregnated Poseidon's daughter.

Then Persephone asks her mother, "Why didn't you tell me I was a Fertility Goddess?" when Demeter denies it, Persephone made the flowers grow all around the Underworld, shocking and horrifying Demeter that the secret was out and when Demeter confesses she said it was to Persephone's own good. Persephone became enraged saying she and Hestia were not only selfish for keeping that secret from Persephone and squandering her true potential as a Goddess, but she also calls her mother and Hestia reckless and irresponsible and tells her she knows what she did that caused the Pompeii volcanic eruption and tried covering it up by making Persephone's records clean by telling Hermes to lie to Hades about the amount of souls coming to the Underworld while the humans were suffering. When Demeter tried to tell Persephone that she and Hestia wanted to protect her from being feared and hated by the world for what she can do, Persephone started to cry angry tears saying her mother made her feel like a prisoner and never let her express herself her whole life, making her study constantly and having people keep a close eye on her, and now knowing she was infact a fertility Goddess that can cause natural disasters, she says "Did you keep me hidden away because you think I'm a monster!?"

Demeter, seeing her daughter so angry and upset, starts to feel incredibly guilty and realizes hiding the truth about her daughter and sheltering her was a mistake and admits she didn't know how to help her daughter control her powers and tells her she's sorry for the pain she caused her and the suffering she went through with Apollo and her time in Olympus because of her sheltering her and pleads with her to come home so she can help for real this time with her powers.

Persephone, still upset a bit, tells her she can't go with her. When Demeter asks her why, Persephone tells her that she's already getting the hang of her powers in the Underworld, and tells her she will soon be bound to it as she loves it just as she loves the earth, and tells her mother she and Hades are getting married and she will become the future queen of the Underworld, which shocks Demeter. She asks her how she can be queen of the dead when she is the Goddess of Spring, with Persephone telling her that she and Hades embody the cycle of life together, and she wants to help the souls that died because of her and make the Underworld a better place for the dead.

Demeter was speechless, but soon snapped out of it when Persephone tells her that Hades will want a talk with her and Hestia about hiring Hermes to lie about the amount of souls that were recorded and they might face punishment by him and Hera, who also learned the truth about Persephone and Pompeii. Demeter becomes fearful as she could lose her company for the lies about her daughter and the mortals that were killed and fears she and Hestia might suffer the same fate as Apollo for his crime against her daughter. Persephone then tells her while she will always love the earth and will still make things grow there, she tells Demeter it was time to let her go so she can fulfill her real destiny; to be by Hades side and tells her to never call her Kore again, and that from now her name is Persephone. and she turns to leave, leaving Demeter heart broken and disappointed in herself for letting things get this far, and realizes by keeping her daughter ignorant she got hurt more.

That's just my theory of how it will go down though.
