I did this exercise to get back on my feet.I started doing it for the patterns on their skin only, but then i imagined the colors and soon i was also concerned about the shapes. I started looking for interesting patterns/shapes on existing animals. 2nd row 3rd head is heavily inspired by antelopes, 2nd row 4th started out as crocodile-ish, and midway i looked up butterflies. 3rd row 1st head is fully based on butterflies. 3rd row 4th head is based on horses, and 2 kinds of goats (mountain goat and markhor). 4th row 1 and 2 and the last head are based on crustaceans, especially on one that i didn't even find a Wikipedia article about (Acanthonotozoma). This is just a fraction of animals i referenced.

You're great at drawing dragon heads in fact your technique seems very recognizable. I might've redrawn one of your pieces...I don't post it though because I'm no art thief. I write books instead

Their eyes are so tiny, they have so many scary features, they are almost hyper realistic... Yet they look adorable! Like puppies who can kill you in 9 different ways with their teeth alone! How on earth did you pull this off?

By sacrificing an albino lion, a human prince, the last remaining specimen of an endangered species of orchid and a half-eatenΒ cheeseburgerΒ to Satan. Shortly after that i received detailed instructions from Him on how to do it, along with one thick picture book of mammals and one of birds. The instructions said that i shall use a 2B mechanical pencil and ivory paper, among other things. I worked without rushing, while watching a TV show titled Sanctuary (this was not instructed but it did no harm that i know of).

Beautiful creatures. Very nicely rendered as well. Really gets the mind thinking about other worlds and what life might look like. Nice thing is they all look like they could really exist. Really nice. It's tough to pick a favorite but I like the gesture of the one third row far right.
