It's been too long since I painted a crossover. Forgot how fun they are.
I really wanted to draw 2 ponies I haven't drawn before. I realised I haven't drawn Rarity much, and Blueblood doesn't have much fanart, so I drew the two. I've also been listening to alot of Phantom of the Opera music lately.
Now, before you all take up arms against Rarity X Blueblood, I wanna say I myself am on the fence with them as a couple. I mean, obviously she hates him in the series, yet there are so many comics/pictures/stories of the two making up that it's difficult to think of them otherwise. So...yeah, I'm just on the fence with them.

and i really love the dress that rarity is wearing and me i say this i have one dress like that but blue blood look really cool at this picture in others words this is so precious and luxury and i fan of the ghost of the opera
and of curse i love opera a lot in my family the opera is one of the most lustrous things in the word for my family

I love the coloring and the different shades. And the over all style is what I look for in all good art. Good proportioning all around. High props for using Rarity. I love the high class view in her over all being.
It is almost like seeing a happy couple in a modern day movie ( you how they over do the whole romance in Rome thing. )
So it is very beautiful piece. I wish you good heath and for you to keep drawing with your great artistic skills.
I'm really new at this stuff so I hope to work up to something almost as good as your art.

I feel that the best pony work is manely digital art like this. I love rarity and the style you used here. I particularly like rarity's dress and mane because of both texture and design. I like blueblood's mask and eyes they seem to go together very nicely. I dont see any giant errors, except two very little things. Rarity's eyes and Blueblood's arm. Rarity's eyes nice but they are a little too slanted and the point near the bottom of the eye is a little two close to the nose. Blueblood's arm seems to me coming out of no where. I think that might be just a small coloring issue. Other then that. good job you are very talented and i cant wait to see monre

And much as I hate the guy, we do see the two hanging out during Sweet and Elite, so maybe he changed after incident at the Gala

Actually my complaint is not so much that they are a 'couple' but more thatBlueblood is not a good fit as the phantom... like at all. The phantom was a charming, charismatic man... if very dangerous and obsessive. Blueblood is not charming or charismatic, and doesn't even show himself as a worthy stallion for any mare. He is selfish, self absorbed, disrespectful, and he treated Rarity like he would a servant not worthy as being treated as an equal.
… though I do admit Rarity wouldn't give Blueblood another chance unless he changes a lot, and I find it OOC for them to be shown as a couple. Actually I see many shipfics as OOC, like Discord and Celestia, or worse Discord and Luna, there is also the fact many fans 'insist' Rainbow Dash is lesbian and get mad when Rainbow Dash is paired with a colt/stallion.

Well, as I said in the description of the picture, my headcanon of Blueblood is defined quite a bit by the many redemption fics of him. So, no he's not charismatic or charming, but I still think if he changed for the better and Rarity gave him a chance, they'd be a fine couple.
I also agree about ooc ships and such, but that's the fandom for you. Just yesterday I read a fic that shipped Twi x Roid Rage.

Actually one of my favorite fanfiction involving Blueblood is 'Letter to and Idiot' it was very amusing.
I could agree with what you said as long as it is clearly shown why Blueblood isn't an ass, though I still say he doesn't fit much as the phantom because as I said I do not feel the prince is charming or charismatic enough nor do I feel he could be obsessive enough about another pony to qualify.
Actually I also agree with this, and have found myself enjoying ships simply because the author did a good job in writing it. This has even gotten me to enjoy fanfictions where Rainbow Dash is with a mare... though it still annoys me when the author insists on labeling Rainbow Dash as lesbian as it is not needed. So Rainbow Dash likes a mare, so what? No need to insist she is gay when she can simply be bi and has chosen a mare to be with at this time.

Not in my opinion, though she does also have a sugar high on donuts so she is probably also more free with her words because of that. The author to me makes a good show of disgust, disappoint, sadness, and anger... ending with a bit of hope on Celestia's part that Blueblood can still change.
Some do consider it OOC for her, so I will leave it up to you to decide. I simply enjoy Celestia actually getting on a pony that in my eyes deserves a good talking too (I do not like Prince Blueblood because of how he treated Rarity, my second favorite out of the six with the first being Twilight).

Ah of course, the Phantom of the Opera. A perfect way of showing the two's love-hate relation with each other.... Although I think Rarity would kill Bloodblood if she saw him walking on the streets, mind you.
Never the less, this looks fantastic and wonderful, my friend. You've captured the operatic atmosphere of the play and the two do look pretty cute in those outfits.

I came across this while listening to Act 1 and 2 of Crisis City from Sonic Generations, and suprisingly, they worked, despite the difference of what the picture's based off of, and where the music's from. (I'm a Sonic Brony, gimme a break...)

It's very complicated to explain. Okay, I'll tell you. Blueblood's father is Lord Geo, the brother of Celestia and Luna. Geo first paired up with a female Alicorn and they had Cadence. Later on, after the sudden death of his wife, Geo fell in love with a female Earth Pony and had Blueblood. You could say that Blueblood is a demigod
